"Oy With the Poodles Already!"

Hello all!! This post, or any post has been loooong overdue! I have been so incredibly busy lately and I would rather put out a good post late over a million bad/boring ones! Better late than never...right??

Okay, first off some business! I have made an email for All That Glitters and it is officially up on the contact page! Also I am trying to figure out how to put up a comments bar that will scroll with the page...work with me people! I am also going to try to plan out a crafting post and if that doesn't happen then I will put up a baking/cooking post first.

Alright, on to the fun stuff! Thanksgiving. HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!! I hope everyone is extremely excited for Thanksgiving because I sure am! Let me just say that I am so thankful for my family, Kate Spade everything, my cat, and Victoria (of course!) What are you all thankful for?! In my family we have a thanksgiving tradition of standing aroud the table and doing a hand squeeze..."What the heck is a hand squeeze, weirdo?!" I'm sure you are wondering. It's quite simple. Everyone holds hands and you pick someone to start. Now the starting person squeezes the hand of the person next to them and then that person does so to the next and you go round robin until the squeeze comes back to the starting person! Yes, it's odd, but we're odd.

Well, thank you to Miss Martha Stewart Thanksgiving dinner is going to give us some, hmm how should I state this? Extra layers?...I'm fairly certain the amount of butter used in total is enough to put the hulk into cardiac arrest...so it must be delicious!!

I say if there is one time to completely forget about your calorie intake for the day, it's Thanksgiving. And if there are two times, then it's Thanksgiving and Christmas...and if it's three times, it's Thanksgiving, Christmas, and your birthday...yes. Cake is good my friends. Now there are several ways we can convince ourselves we aren't eating that badly on Thanksgiving, here's a short list:

1. Start out in your cutest pair of elastic waistband pants.

Yes this is a bit of an oxymoron, but if you start out with pants too big they will fit like a charm after dinner!

2. Candied Carrots

They're a vegetable. Yes they are caramelized in an insane amount of brown sugar and butter, but still a vegetable!...Same goes for sweet potatos covered in marshmallows. Still a vegetable.

3. Those randomly placed olives and pickles

They're just so small compared to everything else so we just pretend we didn't eat twenty of each!

4. Apple cider, Apple pie, etc., etc.

Fruit people. Need I say more?

5. The leftover turkey sandwich you'll eat tomorrow is healthy, right?? Yes. It is.

And if all else fails, just embrace it! Eat more potatoes than one should eat in an entire year! Eat four pieces of pie just because you can't decide! Eat twenty olives! And rock those elastic waistband pants!

And of course be thankful that you fit into those elastic waistband pants ;)
