Hello folks! So I realize that this topic may seem a tad odd and silly, but I love a good rant and it's been a bit since I've done one, especially in a positive light haha...In fact I've decided that this will be a bit of a subcategory of this blog, so anytime you see "For the Love Of..." you'll know that it's a happy rant! Today's rant?? For the love of TJ Maxx!

Let's begin, shall we! So most people know that I have a slight obsession with shopping, verging on being problematic! One place, in particular, though frequently visited, also manages to slip my mind when talking of my favorite stores: TJ Maxx! As per usual, let's break it down into a list! Here's why TJ Maxx is just...great:

1. Those mini carts.

MMMM! YES. These carts could very well be the best part of this store. They are small, they are sleek, they are double tiered, they are PERFECT. Every time I go to a store there is at least one moment where my cart manages to be in the way, doesn't fit, is similar to pushing a broken wheel barrow around, etc...but at TJ Maxx I never need to worry because those little carts fit everywhere, they're light, and they're just darn cute! These carts should exist everywhere.

2. The layout.

Pretty much every TJ Maxx I have visited has generally the same, clean, easy-to-maneuver, inviting layout and I greatly appreciate its consistency. The way they set it up is so perfect that each section somehow seems to feel like its own separate store. How is the clothing section so big and the home section so big and the children section so big and yet the entire place is way smaller than Target?! HOW??

3. Kate Spade

I mean...any place that can sell me a Kate Spade towel set for like half its normal price is a winner in my eyes.

4. Copious amounts of notebooks

I am an avid notebook lover. I buy notebooks for literally no reason and I love them all. I have given up the idea that I will ever stop buying pointless notebooks. TJ Maxx is the most encouraging of this mindset because I can walk into that store, make my way to the back, left corner and find at least fifty notebooks that are so adorable that I couldn't resist if I tried. Kate Spade notebooks, notebooks with pineapples, notebooks that say things like "Brightest of the Bunch" and "Hey Lady," notebooks with graphs, and notebooks with lines, AHHH I want to go get one just thinking about it!

5. Bargains.

I can go to Ulta and buy an OPI nail polish for $8...orrrrr I can go to TJ Maxx and get one for $3.99, who wouldn't take the latter deal?? Kitchenware is expensive, but you know where it isn't?? TJ Maxx. Need an excessive amount of Christmas gift wrapping supplies for less than $15?? TJ Maxx. Want to spend less on your "waiting-in-line-impulse-purchase?" TJ Maxx. The answer here is fairly obvious I think.

So my shopping friends, set forth, bring your wallets, wear good shoes, and go get yourself a nice overnight facial oil and a paperweight for your desk...TJ Maxx...it's calling you!

Happy Shopping!
