A Scandal(ous) Rant!

Hello all! So today I want to talk about Scandal! One of my favorite shows that is also one of the most frustrating!!! Now I'm having a bit of an inspiration block and my head is pounding from getting my wisdom teeth yanked out so bear with me. Also, SPOILERS will be mentioned. If you are not caught up and don't want to know anything, go read something else! You've been warned.

Let's begin with how amazing this show is. It is so amazing. Like so so sooo amazing. It's probably one of the only shows that can keep me on edge. Most of my shows have good cliff hangers and all, but this one is so intense and when something bad happens, watch out! IT'S BAD!!! I mean may I just refer to literally anything Huck, or B613, or Olivia being held hostage by some crazies???

Now as much as I love this show this rant is going to be about all the things that drive me insane with frustration, because there are many! Just know that this show is great and these frustrations probably add to it's wonderfulness, I just gotta complain, it's what I do best after all!

1. I am SO SICK of flipping B613!!!!!

I mean pleeeeaaase! We know it's bad, and you can't escape, and no one can do anything, but come on. Just shoot Papa Pope and be done. Now I know in the finale B613 gets supposedly "shut down" and Papa Pope is thrown in jail, but the whole thing seemed just a tad too flippant and quick to end, for a lack of better words. We have been dealing with the monotony of B613 for...well too long. I'm pretty sure it all began in season 3, but I can't even remember it's been so long. It just goes on and on and on and on. Like yes, we realize B613 has all control over anyone they want to and not even the president can stop it because it "doesn't exist," but oh my gosh just end it already! It's becoming quite repetitive and dull!

Once upon a time, like the first season, Pope and Associates had really interesting cases to cover up with a whole lot of Fitz and Pope uncovering up, lots of shoving in closets, lots of hiding from Mellie, and overall just some better drama. Now literally everything that happens either concerns B613, and not in the interesting way it was when it was first introduced, or is so completely boring. Conclusion to this: shoot Papa Pope and be finished with the blah subject that is B613, leave Huck alone for pete's sake.

2. Fitz and Olivia. Oh boy.

First of all let's all take a moment to remember and appreciate the last three minutes of the season four finale.

Best. Possible. Ending. Ever. I think we've all been waiting for ages for them to duck into an electrical closet somewhere in the white house...

They have had what seems like the longest dry spell EVER! They have barely even been talking, which simply is not working for me! They are obviously meant for each other so why is it such a big deal?! It's not like Mellie is an issue anymore, she knows, and she and Fitz are "friends" I guess, okay then...they don't have to tell anyone outside of the white house because anyone that would find out knows, Cyrus, Abby, etc. so it doesn't have to be a public thing, what the heck people?! You're in love! Let it happen!! Now with this seasons ending, things are promising so fingers crossed!

3. Jake. Girl Bye.

Thank heavens he is leaving. Jake was such a problem. I know he was there to protect Olivia and she probably would've died without him, but couldn't they have picked an ugly woman who wasn't constantly in the way of the Olivia/Fitz romance?? Nope. He had to be hunky and save her all the time. I swear if he comes back to the show after his supposed departure I will have to scream. So long Jake.

4. Huck.

He's a psycho, but let him be with his family! Good grief!

5. Abby

Oh Abby. They could probably kill Abby off and no one would really notice. It was so much better when she was still working for Olivia. Now Pope and Associates is Olivia, Quinn, and Huck. Which is not as cool as it once was. Abby was the charming pretty one who was also Olivia's best friend. Now she barely shows up and she and Olivia hardly ever speak.

6. Pope and Associates

Pope and Associates used to be like the cool kids of law offices and now they're like a sad little flower that's lost most of its petals. Now I understand Stephen leaving. Most shows have characters that just dissapear after the first season. Plus they made it up when they brought him back to save Olivia for an episode. I also understand Harrison being taken out. Colombus short did something stupid and being killed off in the show is what happened, I don't feel like getting into a big debate over right and wrong and my beliefs so I'm just going to end that there. My issue now is, ever since Abby left Pope and Associates is just a sad little group of people occasionally doing something they used to kick butt at and then doing reallyintens, crazy, violent side jobs otherwise.

Here's what needs to happen. Abby needs to go back to Pope and Associates, Huck and Quinn really need to stop shanking everyone they don't like, they need to go back to being fixers for idiotic politicians, and the "exciting" plotline that breaks up the cases needs to be Olivia and Fitz together. Easy. If only people listnened to me.

Okay, rant over! I hope it made sense and I hope it was interesting, I'm still drowsy from all the crap the dentist has me on!
