Clothes Every Girl Needs To Own

Hello lovelies! So today I want to talk about clothes!

One of my favorite things!!!! I get a thrill out of buying clothes. Some...everyone I know...may call it a shopping addiction, but I call it something else...

A girl's gotta shop!! So here are my clothing staples, the things that every girl should have in their closet, and maybe a few extras!

1. TMI, but some nude underwear!

My favorite ones are the No-Show Sexy Hiphuggers from Victoria's Secret (https://www.victoriassecret.com/panties/nudes-and-neutrals/no-show-sexy-hiphugger-panty?ProductID=243936&CatalogueType=OLS&swatchImage=DJ5). Seamless is always a safe bet my friends! The last thing you need are visible lines, that's just not cute...

White underwear will not work if you are wearing white people! It will show up. You want your underwear to blend with your skin, not the fabric! Even if you just have one pair of white pants, the nude undies are so worth it.

2. Camis!

I wear a camisole every day. You never want to take the chance of your shirt being slightly see through in certain light. No, no, no. Layer my friends, layer.

3. A good pair of jeans

I am a cheapskate, especially when it comes to jeans so when I say a "good" pair of jeans I mainly mean comfortable and easy to wear. I buy my jeans at Old Navy on the off season for like $10. (http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/category.do?cid=85729) Yes and please. Jeans should be something you can easily pair with most shirts when nothing else is working or you really need something comfortable, that's not leggings. If you think some LuLu Lemons are going to show on this list or this blog in general you should just go...

Jeans are a must. They shouldn't be too long and I think everyone should have boot legs and skinny jeans!

4. A selection of blouses...not t-shirts, blouses.

Blouses will make you look like you tried ten times harder than it would to throw on a t-shirt. I say at least one black, one white, and a few colors in between. You need neutrals because they will go with anything and the colorful ones mix it up so pick your top three favorite colors and go from there! Here are some options:

Make sure the arms and boobs are comfortable. If your blouse is too tight you will never ever wear that sucker!

5. Button Downs.

Just get a good button down or two. They don't have to be thrilling. They're versatile and you can match them with almost anything! I like to have a plain one, one with a simple stripe or polka dot pattern, and one with a fun pattern like bicycles or cats etc.

6. Skirts

You'll need a pencil skirt, not a 90s greyish brownish weird skirt, but a normal, structured, black pencil skirt. I like pencil skirts with a subtle pattern as they fancy an outfit up, but pinstripes are not okay. You need an A-line skirt. Preferably a flowy one at knee length. Length is VERY important! I'm not a huge fan of maxi skirts, I feel they are unflattering unless you are ten feet tall and weigh two pounds, however, some can work...I personally just don't take that risk. I find that right above the knee will almost always be the most flattering. A little shorter can be fine, but your lady bits better not be popping out! If you can't bend over without a sudden panic attack and a show for everyone around you, it's too short! I'm also a huge fan of a good tea length skirt because, how vintage?! Here is an acceptable skirt option, not to mention an easy one! It's black, it can be paired with literally any shirt, and it's the perfect length! Easy as pie!

7. Cardigans

Just get one in every color. I tried to compromise what's necessary in my head, but every color is necessary. Hitting mid waist, 3/4 length sleeves, nothing weird except cute buttons.

8. Pea coats

See #7

9. Ballet flats

At least black and one other bright color, but I like the one in every color rule for this one too...

10. A pair of black tights

11. A good hand bag.

This one is important. I'm keen on having more than one purse, but if you are only going to have one it better fit everything and it better match everything. Also it should be Kate Spade. You can't mess up Kate Spade.

I know there are things I'm leaving out, but for now that's a pretty well rounded closet! Now go shopping. Goodbye.
